Sunnies By Charlie: The Newest Trendy Eyewear in Town

By ketchupthelatest - March 26, 2014

For a tropical country such as ours, it is a necessity to protect our eyes with our choice of sunnies or eyewear. And of course, we would want to look best with our shades on as we brave the sun while pursuing our daily activities.

However, choosing an eyewear is sometimes not the easiest thing to do. You need to have the perfect fit, color and style for great results. The shape of your face is also one important consideration because some designs look good only with a particular face shape. The next crucial factor is the price. What happens if you picked the sunnies of your dreams, and you really are sure that you look like Gisele Bundchen when you wear it on? The bait? You'd have to shell out at least Php 5000 or more to own it. To top it off, most of the designs that appeal your 'discriminating taste' are either 'branded' or imported. They are also known to last long and not 'peel-off' easily ( I experienced this more than once with P200 pesos-priced-or-less shades which start to peel-off after a while as if it had just sunburn!). So sad, isn't it? That being said, most often, you end up going home with a so-so eyewear that looks just OK on you for a price you can afford. A not-so-happy-ending, eh?

But I guess I shouldn't be sulking about this problem anymore because of the latest trend in eyewear has just come, thanks to Sunnies by Charlie. I am proud to say that the team and owners behind this brand are Filipinos and fashion icons as well. They are Eric Dee Jr., Bea Soriano, Georgina Wilson and Martine Cajucom.

Sunnies By Charlie which was founded in 2013, is an independent eyewear brand that is based in Manila, Philippines with the aim of having affordable range (prices start at Php 249) of eyewear that are both functional and chic. The brand boasts of curated eyewear with UV protection, and you can choose from their unisex, retro-inspired and classic styles.

You can get your own Sunnies at their Sunnies Stations at Chimes Specialty Store in Davao, SM MOA, SM Southmall, SM Megamall, SM Pampanga and SM Cebu, the Sunnies Shoppe at Glorietta 2. You may also buy online from Zalora.

Ooops, but wait, posting photos during the Meet and Greet me and my blogger friends attended during the Davao launch earlier this month :

  10. I don't have a fancy for sunnies because I admit, I really don't look good wearing them, plus my "cute little round" nose does not hold sunnies well... which I really hate... hehehe.
